FINANCIALLY FOCUSED

June 2023 Newsletter

Summer is here and we recommend that You get out and enjoy summer activities with Family & Friends!

Whether your summer plans include some things on the smaller side like new baseball equipment for the kids or a new golf club for yourself or something potentially more expensive like a two-week tour of the national parks, with some planning and discipline you may be able to enjoy these things with less stress.

A U.S. News and World Report article, 25 Summer Budget Tips provides some info that I think can help our conversation today.

The first piece of advice is to do a little research and make a list of upcoming summer festivals and events, many of which are free. Free local events may be especially helpful if you’ll have kids or grandkids along with you. Theater performances and concerts in the park, arts festivals, and free activities like disc golf may be great ways to enjoy the weather without putting the heat on your budget.

A summertime garage sale may be a way to save money AND make money. First, it will keep you occupied and organized. And second, it may put several hundred bucks into your pocket — and that’s money you can use for more summertime fun.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us at any time as we are always happy to help.

Thank you!
