The month of May brings us from “April showers to May Flowers”, we recommend getting out to enjoy the fresh air along with the sounds and smells of springtime.

Here are some important dates in May to remember:

First is Mother’s Day: Don’t forget to honor and celebrate this special day for Mom’s. In researching the history of this day which in the USA started to be celebrated in the early 1900’s, it has a similar historical time frame to the next date in the month….

Second, Memorial Day: Originally known as “Decoration Day” in the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s, it is a time to commemorate the men and women who sacrificed for their country. It has also become known as the long weekend that kicks off the summer season.

We wish everyone a great Mother’s Day and Memorial Day.
