
That “summer” season has started, even if it is not quite officially there yet on the calendar. From Memorial Day to Labor Day it is the lazy days that include Bugs, Hot days, School is out (or close to being out) and gardens are planted. A great time of year that we all look forward to!
One of the frequently asked questions we are getting recently is about medical benefits: Are there options besides being on COBRA? (which is the portability of benefits while not at work). The answer is that there are other options available, and while each person’s situation will be different, it is worth asking about these options as one of the biggest Pro’s is that these other options can be a significant difference in premium cost versus COBRA. The Con’s are that it may not fit your situation and not everyone can be accepted with these options.
